Abstract
We have defined an intuition as an action programme which is partially autonomous within cognition, and which is a synthesis of individual experience in a given domain. Its global, immediate nature enables it to control action instantaneously. According to this view, probability matching is the expression of a particular intuition, the intuition of relative frequency.
