Summary

The present paper is a continuation of the work with the same title of the present author. With emphasis on discrete distributions, the aim here is the same as in the first paper: to unify and to extend the theory of characterizing probability distributions by properties of order statistics.

This research was done while the author was a Visiting Professor of Statistics at Iowa State University, Ames. Financial support was given by Army Research Office-Durham.
