Abstract

Last year Professor Bergmann discussed with me the Jerusalem Symposium on ‘Environmental Effects on Molecular Structure and Properties’, and asked me to review contributions of NMR spectroscopy to the ‘state of the art’ of solute-solute and solute-solvent interactions. Let me point out from the outset that I intend to touch upon a few aspects only of this broad area.
