Solar Radiation Variation and Climate

Atmospheric Physics from Spacelab

Part of the book series: Astrophysics and Space Science Library ((ASSL,volume 61))

Abstract

A short review of the variability of the solar radiation flux at different wavelengths and of the Earth’s climate is presented. Some examples of correlation between solar activity and atmospheric parameters at different heights are shown. The interest of studying the correlation that exists between important atmospheric parameters (physical and chemical) with the variations of the Sun flux at different wavelengths is stressed.
