Abstract
In the twentieth century with its overemphasis on individualism and technological achievement the importance of community has been sorely neglected. One consistently finds the community described as an “organization” if it works well mechanically, or as a bureaucracy if it functions poorly. The net result of this is a loss of material available for us in times of acute cultural crisis — like the present age.
