Abstract
This paper presents the ore reserve estimation of the Novaz-za (Italy) uranium deposit. The approach used in the first stage of the study is merely based on the chemical analyses of samples and can be considered as a “classical” geostatistical study of a thick stratiform low-grade deposit. In the second stage an attempt is made to use more efficient techniques than standard kriging in order to take into account additional information (ra-rioactivity measurements). For this purpose, cokriging has been adopted. A short introduction to this method is given.
