Summary
The review deals with biogeography and synecology of the peat-bog entomofauna of Southern Bohemia (Czechoslovakia). The origin of obligatory peat-bog Lepidoptera is discussed and the hypothesis of glacial and interglacial relics newly documented. An annotated list of tyrphobiont Lepidoptera occurring in the main peat-bog types of Southern Bohemia is presented.
