Abstract

The different types of experiments in which Chemically Induced Dynamic Electron Polarization (CIDEP) has been observed are described. Two distinct types of spin polarization are recognised and reported results are interpreted in terms of various admixtures of these two types. Reasons why one or the other predominates in a given case are suggested.
