Abstract

The following resolutions were adopted: Resolution submitted to the General Secretary by Commissions 12, 14 and 29 (proposed by R. Garstang): “The IAU highly values the activity of the United States National Bureau of Standards in the compilation and critical evaluation of atomic and molecular data, and considers these activities essential for the advancement of astronomy.”
