Explanation of Human Action
The philosophical problems related to the explanation of actions are very intimately connected to those pertaining to the characterization of intentional actions and to the understanding of behavior as action, as will be seen soon. Thus, although the aim of this chapter is to clarify what it is to explain actions, our discussion below will be a rather direct continuation of the discussion begun in the previous chapter.
