Abstract
The idea that Supernovae might sometimes cause star formation is an old one. It was suggested as early as 1953 by Öpik. However, strong observational evidence in favor of this has, to my knowledge, never been presented. What one would like to find is a young, star formation region at the edge of a SNR of comparable age. In this talk I would like to present some evidence which is suggestive of such a situation.
