Abstract
Wavelength measurements of emission and absorption features in the spectrum of Nova Cyg 1975, observed in the Wise Observatory between August 31, 1975 and August 17, 1976, are interpreted on a basis of a binary model for the star. The structure of the emission lines lasting almost a year can be described as follows:
-
1.
A broad component indicating an expansion velocity of 1900 km/s shifted to the violet by −90 km/s
-
2.
Four sharp components superimposed on the diffuse line.
