Abstract

fischer: The title of the carbohydrate-/versus fat-/versus protein calories panel is intended to discuss an outstanding issue. This same group of people met in Vail last March and devoted an entire day to this subject. The basic question that the panel wants to discuss is: is a carbohydrate-calorie the same as a fat calorie? If it is not, why not, and if it is, are the two interchangeable?
