Von Balthasar attempts to account for someone’s adopting and remaining within the Christian faith by pointing to human holiness as the most effectiveapologiaIn a word, his core intuition is that `the “perfect” Christian is also the perfect proof of the truth of Christianity¡. The saint is the apology for the Christian religion¡¯.1
