Abstract
The highly sensitive detection of CW and BTW agents, namely chemical compounds, biomolecules (toxins) and microbiological agents (bacteria, viruses, etc.) with the use of antibodies is based on the transformation of a specific biomolecular interaction between antigen and antibody into a macroscopically detectable signal or a change in the physical properties of the media. Immunochemical methods have been successfully applied in the detection of pathogens, or the antibodies produced in response to these pathogens, for more than 50 years. During this time a great number of laboratory techniques have been developed [1].
