About the Coexistence of Two Phases in The Scni2B2C Borocarbide

Abstract

As it has been claimed in [1] the tetragonal phase of ScNi2B2C borocarbide with lattice parameters a=3.34Å and c=10.2Å is metastable. Therefore a study of variation of prop@@@@@ erties of scandium borocarbide samples under annealing at different temperatures is of basic interest. We have investigated previously [2] the composition and superconducting properties of cast from the melt and annealed at temperatures above 700°C scandium borocarbide samples. In this paper we report the results of the investigation of scandium borocarbides annealed at lower temperatures (< 700°C).
