Abstract
The distribution of rights to timber and to benefits brought about by timber harvest is one of the most critical forest policy matters in Ghana. Right over land are closely linked with rights to trees and timber, and the issue of promoting sustainable forest management or sustained yield timber production may be divided into the following main points:
-
Rights to land, timber, trees and revenue on-reserves;
-
rights to land, timber, trees and revenue off-reserves;
-
principles for allocation of rights to standing timber on- and off-reserves.
