Abstract

The increasing size, cost and time scale of large projects may limit the number of large projects effectively carried out. Therefore it is the prime interest of the scientific community to improve their efficiency, using the available financial and human resources in the most efficient way and decreasing their time scale. The author presents the different types of organization used in scientific projects and pinpoints a few areas where some improvements could be achieved.
