Abstract
The first evidence of counter-clockwise currents in Issyk-Kul was reported by Matveev [1] based on few measurements of currents and ship drift. In 1970-1985, Rotatova and Filatova [2], Bukin [3], Stavissky and Ovcharenko [4], Romanovsky [5], and Shabunin [6] (1984) studied currents in Issyk Kul using the dynamic method and drift cards (“bottle mail”)
