Abstract
While discussing the technical-economical feasibility of gold extraction factories, the environmental problems are often considered in a simplified way. Members of the high commissions agree with elaborators’ proposals and the factory starts to work, afterwards many unpredicted problems appear. The same happened to the “Kumtor” operating company. Indisputably, Kumtor is a construction of the century, promising much to the people of Kyrghyzstan. However, it is not provided with all necessary measures for protection of the environment of our mountainous country.
