Design of Lumped-Element 2D RF Devices

  • Chapter
Microwave Superconductivity

Part of the book series: NATO Science Series ((NSSE,volume 375))

Abstract

This chapter deals with the design of passive circuits for the frequency range between about 0.1 to 5 GHz, comprising lumped elements (inductors and capacitors) in high-temperature superconductor (HTS) thin-film technology. Major emphasis is given to realization and to limits in the achievable range of values of the lumped elements. The design of bandpass filters from realizable HTS lumped elements is considered in some detail. Furthermore, applications to allpass structures and hybrid couplers are discussed.
