Abstract
Type Ib-c supernovae appear to be more frequent with respect to type II supernovæ in Seyfert than in normal galaxies by a factor ≈ 3. We suggest that this statistically significant difference may be the signature of young star formation in Seyferts, with average age τ ≤ 20 Myr.
