Abstract
The seven chapters in this section explore the broad social, political, and organiza- tional contexts in which school leaders now find themselves working, contexts likely to endure for at least the next decade. Each chapter explores one or more of these contexts and considers the forms of leadership likely to foster productive growth and adaptation by schools in such contexts.
