Entanglement and Non-Separability in Quantum Mechanics

  • Chapter

Part of the book series: NATO Science Series ((NAII,volume 90))

Abstract

Impressive accumulation of experimental tests confirm the validity of Quantum Mechanics and extends it to a wide domain of phenomena. On one hand, the famous EPR Gedankenexperiment has been realized in the laboratory and the Bell’s inequalities have been tested. On the other hand, the discussion on the foundations of quantum concepts and the debate on the problems of interpretation are not over. The question whether Quantum Mechanics is a complete theory is still open. Some fundamental aspects of quantum behaviour related to entanglement and non-separability will be discussed.
