Electronic Properties of CuFeS2 under Pressure Studied by Mössbauer Spectroscopy

  • Conference paper

Abstract

The 57Fe Mössbauer spectra of satisfactory quality were measured with the sample CuFeS2 not-enriched in 57Fe under pressure up to 13 GPa. The vanishing of the magnetic hyperfine field in the spectra was observed around 6.5 GPa and room temperature where the structural phase transition occurs. It was found by the analysis of observed spectra that there exists the significant anomaly in the pressure dependence of the center shift around 6.5 GPa. These results show a substantial change in the electronic structure of CuFeS2 at 6.5 GPa.
