Abstract
It was recognized, that the baseline in transmission Mössbauer spectroscopy using resonance detectors reveals a specific distortion. This distortion was investigated from both the experimental and theoretical point of view. It was shown, that this specific distortion caused by an energy shift of the gamma-quanta that were Rayleigh- scattered from the moving sample.
