Abstract
The 197Au Mössbauer measurement have been performed on Au nano-particles surrounded with the surfactant. We take the spectra of the nano-particles with the reference, and obtain the recoilless fraction from the area ratio of the subspectra of the nano-particles and the reference. From the temperature dependence of the recoilless fractions, the Debye temperatures are obtained as 110, 120 and 160 K on 2.4, 3.3 and 5.7 nm nano-particles, respectively. The reduction of Debye temperature is due to the inter-particle vibrations.
