Abstract

Transmission Mössbauer spectroscopy is applied to study the structure and magnetic properties of the Fe(Co,Ni)ZrB alloys prepared by the rapid quenching and ball milling techniques. There are significant differences in the structure of these alloys that depend on the preparation method. The powders prepared from the amorphous ribbons remain amorphous after milling, while powders obtained from the crystalline elements form the bcc iron-based solid solutions.
