Abstract
We calculated the flux and polarization of cyclotron radiation from the possibly existing corona of the cool isolated magnetic white dwarf G 99-47. Comparison of the computed and observed color indices J ā L and J ā Lā yields the new upper limits 106 K and 1010 cm-3 for the coronal temperature and density. These values are, respectively, 10 and 40 times less than the corresponding upper limits derived from the earlier ROSAT observations.
