Abstract
We discuss the characteristics of a sample of 33 white dwarfs found in a proper-motion survey with well defined limits in magnitude and propermotion. Spectroscopy, photometry and trigonometric parallaxes (available for some of the stars) were used to determine their effective temperatures, compositions, ages, distances, masses and luminosities.
