Abstract

Storage and Shipping of Spent Nuclear Fuel (SNF) from ships is one of the most important tasks created by solving the problem of the Navy’s nuclear facilities. The authors have found it reasonable to consider several procedures of safe SNF management starting with general principles for ensuring nuclear safety and reducing risk at all stages of nuclear facilities life cycle.
