Abstract
In 1991, the French Police implemented a system to anticipate the collective violence occurring in some neighbourhoods experiencing social difficulties. A scale of evaluation was defined; in the field, the staff collected the required information; databases were put in place. In the course of the years, this system permitted alerts, diagnosis and adapted treatments of youth violence.
