Abstract

Citrin is a mitochondrial aspartate/glutamate carrier whose deficiency causes adult-onset type II citrullinemia (CTLN2; OMIM #603471) and neonatal intrahepatic cholestasis caused by citrin deficiency (NICCD; OMIM #605814).
