Abstract

This work contains an analysis of a set of data on the O3, NO, and NO2 concentrations measured in the atmospheric surface layer by using the carriage-laboratory moving along the Trans-Siberian Railway. The measurements were performed in the course of the Russian-German TROICA (Trans-Siberian Observations of the Chemistry of the Atmosphere) experiments organized by the Oboukhov Institute of Atmospheric Physics (Russian Academy of Sciences) and the Max Planck Institute of Chemistry (Germany). The main goal of these experiments was monitoring of the gaseous pollutants in the atmospheric surface layer over Siberia. This region does not have stations of atmospheric monitoring. The periods covered by the TROICA experiments, the routes of the carriage-laboratory, and the parameters measured are listed in Table 1.
