Summary

The Schrock Type tungsten(VI) carbyne complex (tBuO)3W=CtBu catalyzes the Acyclic Diyne Methasesis Condensation (ADIMET) of conjugated and nonconjugated diynes. Substituted conjugated monomers formed polymers with conjugated C啡C-bonds. These products possess very interesting optical and electronic qualities. Especially the synthesis of poly(phenylene) ethynylenes (PPE) und poly(thiophenylene) ethynylenes (PTE) were studied.
