Abstract
An extended version of the triple-deck theory is developed for high Mach number subsonic and transonic flows, assuming the Reynolds number to be large enough. The theory embraces unsteady spiral-type Görtier vortices on a concave surface and vortical disturbances in a three-dimensional boundary layer with crossflow on a swept wing or turbine blade.
