Abstract
We are using the Kretztechnik 7100 MA With time-gain compensation and a flat-stalked 8 MHz transducer for A-scan ultrasonography. Echo amplitudes and echo distances can be evaluated accurately. This is especially useful for tissue differentiation. Position movements become visible as well as ultrasound attenuation. However, to determine the localisation to adjacent structures is often difficult. Anatomic schemes of corresponding size proved to be helpful for echo identification.
