Abstract
The thermo-mineral springs are all located in the deepest part of the depression at or below an altitude of 200 m below MSL. Nearly all the springs are located on the western shore and the western part of the lake bottom. The salinity and temperature of the springs vary in a broad range from 400 to 22,000 ppm chloride and from 27 to 61°C respectively; in general the waters having the highest salinity have also the highest temperature. Besides their high salinity and temperature, these springs are also radioactive.
