Abstract

The economic development of the watershed and the expanding tourist industry exert and will exert in the future an increasing ecological pressure on Lake Kinneret. The protection of the lake water quality required the creation of an appropriate administrative framework allowing the coordination of scientific research, the planning and execution of engineering projects and the supervision of polluting activities.
