Summary
The efficiency of 224Ra in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis is confirmed in 39 patients who were not responsive to usual treatment or could not be treated thus. With lower doses relapses are more frequent but side effects (clinical and biological) are less numerous.
L’effet thérapeutique du 224Ra dans la spondylarthrite ankylosante est connu depuis d’un demi-siècle, mais la possibilityé d’accidents avec les premières préparations a limité son usage en France. Depuis 1960, le 224Ra n’a été utilisé qu’à Nancy et Marseille et actuellement, à Marseille seulement.
