Abstract

The fact that the Organizing Committee of this Second European Colloquium on Pacemakers has planned that its first Session should deal with Conduction, as studied by electrophysiologic technics, reveals the present state of pacing as a science. Also the circumstance that, in the scope of the future International Society of Pacing and of our Journal PACE, the diagnostic and therapeutic stimulation of the cardiovascular system, pacemaker technology and also cardiac electrophysiology are included, is symptomatic of the present trends in the field.
