Abstract

Hydrogen is an interesting energy storage and transportation medium. As a fuel it causes no ost-combustion pollution. It can be produced from water by electrolysis, stored and distributed in liquid or gaseous form or combined with a metal, reconverted into electricity in a fuel cell, burned to produce heat, transformed into mechanical power in a conventional internal combustion engine or used as a raw material in the chemical, petrochemical and metallurgical industries.
