Abstract

Slaughterhouse waste is divided up into slaughtering waste and other waste, the slaughtering waste including waste which cannot be used for human consumption. The other waste includes the waste resulting from the stabling of animals before slaughtering, ie faeces, urine and litter. Slaughterhouse waste is thus made up of slaughtered carcass waste, condemned meat, animal excrement, litter and waste water.
