Abstract
The purpose of these groups was to examine the future possibilities and problems relating to three broad aspects of beef production in the European Community. The groups met for a day with the aim of identifying methods and techniques which will become more important in future and subjects requiring further investigation and research. The co-ordinator of each group presented his group’s conclusions to the final plenary session of the seminar. Each group had available, before the meeting, several papers on topics relating to special aspects of their discussion. These papers were not presented formally, but along with the contents of the plenary papers, were used by the group co-ordinator to form the basis of discussion.
