Abstract
The simulation model results indicate a number of important limits which will apply to houses to be built in the period 1970 to 2020. The architect will be bound by three restrictions:
-
1
a maximum amount which includes cost of materials and man-hours and other building costs;
-
2
a maximum quantity of scarce resources in the case of steel, aluminium copper, lead, and zinc;
-
3
a maximum amount of energy, which includes on-site consumption and the energy required for manufacturing the building materials.
