ERG and EOG in Carotid Artery Occlusion Disease

Abstract

ERG changes during occlusion of the carotid have repeatedly been reported in the literature. This paper presents typical electrophysiological findings obtained during occlusion processes in the carotid area. A comparison is made with data obtained by cerebral angiography, ophthalmodynamometry/ophthalmodynamography as well as ultrasonic Doppler measurements. The meaning of the results of ophthalmological electrodiagnostics is discussed.
