Abstract
The child abuse and neglect workshop focused on the identification, investigation and intervention (treatment) of suspected child abuse and neglect. The workshop was designed to highlight how different countries accomplish these three steps. The workshop also discussed prediction (a precursor to identification), emphasized the growing problem of sexual abuse, debated various methods of treatment and prevention, and closed with a discussion of a proposal to support an international organization which would work actively on child protection.
