The Design of a Broadband Delta Modulator with Optimum Performance

Recently we introduced (1) an algorithm for an adaptive DM system and presented a detailed theoretical analysis of the model which led to the derivation of closed-form equations for the performance of the modulator in terms of S/N and DR.

In this contribution we intend to give more emphasis on the experimental results in order to confirm the validity of our theory. For this reason we describe in some extend the design of the proposed DM system and present experimental results.
