Abstract

Prompted by experiments on Rayleigh-Bénard thermoconvection in normal liquid Helium made by A. Libchaber and J. Maurer at the Ecole Normale Supérieure Lab. (Paris), we have undertook a study of a particular mechanism of transition to turbulence: the intermittent transition.
