Part of the Boston Studies in the Philosophy of Science book series (BSPS, volume 19-2)

The ontological issue of temporal symmetry or, alternatively, of the reversibility in principle of all physical processes, has been explored by this writer earlier in the present work; to begin with, from a historical angle, then from the standpoint of a deterministic time theory, and then from an indeterministic standpoint, and, at this juncture, it seems appropriate to summarize the implications of these three approaches and to supplement the relevant evidence by some up-to-date information.
